At A1 Premier Solutions, we offer a range of energy efficiency services designed to help you save money and reduce your environmental impact. With government-backed schemes and expert guidance, we make energy efficiency improvements easy and affordable.
Loft Insulation
Loft Insulation Grants provide homeowners with a free solution to insulate their lofts. Loft insulation helps reduce heat loss, making your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. It also lowers energy bills by increasing the efficiency of your heating system.
Cavity Wall Insulation
Cavity Wall Insulation Grants provide funding for installing insulation in your home’s cavity walls. Insulating these spaces helps reduce energy loss, increase comfort, and reduce heating costs, all while taking advantage of government funding.
Central Heating
With Central Heating Grants, we help eligible homeowners and landlords install efficient central heating systems, completely free of charge under the government’s funding schemes. This grant covers the cost of installing new central heating systems to replace old, inefficient heating methods, improving warmth and comfort throughout your home.
Ventilation
Ventilation Grants are available to help with the installation of effective ventilation systems in your property. Poor ventilation can lead to damp and mould, but with government funding, you can improve air circulation in your home to enhance comfort and health.
Electric Storage Heater
Electric Storage Heater Grants offer funding for homeowners and landlords to install energy-efficient electric storage heaters. These heaters store energy during cheaper off-peak hours and release it during the day, making them an efficient heating solution for many households.
Internal / External Wall Insulation
With Internal Wall Insulation Grants, we can help you insulate your internal walls, making your home more energy-efficient. This grant covers the cost of the installation, improving the energy rating of your property and saving on heating costs.
Solar PV
Solar PV Grants provide funding for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, helping you generate your own renewable energy. Solar panels can significantly reduce your electricity bills and contribute to a greener environment.
Air Source Heat Pumps
Air Source Heat Pumps Grants allow homeowners to benefit from energy-efficient heating systems that use renewable energy. Air source heat pumps extract heat from the air outside and convert it into useful heating and hot water for your home.

What is the ECO4 Scheme?
The ECO4 Scheme is the latest phase of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), a government initiative that aims to improve the energy efficiency of homes across Great Britain. Launched in 2022, ECO4 continues until 2026 and targets households that are most in need, particularly low-income or vulnerable households.
The scheme is designed to tackle fuel poverty and carbon emissions by offering free or discounted insulation and heating measures to eligible homes. The ECO4 Scheme is part of the UK’s broader efforts to reduce energy consumption and support households in making their homes more energy-efficient and comfortable.
Eligibility for the ECO4 Scheme
To qualify for the ECO4 Scheme, homeowners and tenants must meet certain eligibility criteria:
-
EPC Rating of D or Lower: If your property has an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D or lower, you may be eligible for support under the scheme.
-
Household Income: If your household income is £31,000 or below, you may qualify for assistance.
-
Medical Condition Sensitive to Cold: If someone in your household has a medical condition that is particularly sensitive to cold, you could also be eligible for help through the ECO4 Scheme.
Local Authority Flex Scheme – For Low-Income Households Not on Benefits
In addition to the above criteria, the Local Authority Flex Scheme extends support to low-income households that do not claim benefits. This means that even if you do not receive benefits but still have a low income, you may still qualify for assistance through the ECO4 Scheme. Contact your local authority for more information and to see if you are eligible under this part of the scheme.
Benefits of the ECO4 Scheme
-
Lower Energy Bills: By improving your home’s insulation and heating, you’ll reduce your energy consumption, leading to lower heating and electricity bills.
-
Increased Comfort: Proper insulation and energy-efficient heating will make your home more comfortable, keeping it warm during the winter months and cooler in the summer.
-
Reduced Carbon Footprint: The ECO4 Scheme plays a crucial role in reducing the UK’s carbon emissions, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS)
The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) is a government initiative designed to help homeowners and tenants improve energy efficiency in their homes by providing free or discounted insulation services. This scheme is part of the UK’s commitment to reducing energy consumption, lowering carbon emissions, and supporting households in reducing energy bills.
Who is Eligible for the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS)?
-
Homeowners: If you own your home and live in a property with an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) rating of D-G and your Council Tax Band is A-D, you are eligible for free insulation under the GBIS, no benefits required.
-
Rented Properties: For tenants living in rented properties, eligibility is based on receiving qualifying benefits. If you’re a tenant and meet the required benefit criteria, you may qualify for the free insulation service.
Benefits of the GBIS
-
Reduced Energy Bills: By improving the insulation in your home, you can reduce heat loss, keep your home warmer in winter, and cooler in summer. This leads to lower energy consumption and, ultimately, lower energy bills.
-
Improved Comfort: Insulation makes your home more comfortable, especially during extreme weather conditions.
-
Eco-Friendly: Enhancing your property’s energy efficiency helps reduce carbon emissions, making your home more environmentally friendly.
